two little kitties
sitting by the pool

one told the other
'i think you're a fool'

the black cat laughed
and gave him a look
'maybe you envy
my foolish life'

the cool puffy kitty
rolled his eyes
and chuckled
'you gave up
the good life
and now 
you will starve'

the slender black
kitty said
'my mind was starving 
inside your walls
my heart was thirsty
and my vision was bored
my foolish ways 
let me escape
to a world
of infinite choices'

the two friendly kitties
agreed to stay friends
they smiled 
and waved
as they ended the day
