i cannot tell
cannot predict
i can only describe
what forms
in the pot
i see octopus arms
trying to crawl
a hamster squealed
and three whole
chicken feet
they may not notice
they are too busy
watching tv
i make sure
they're distracted
whenever they feed
so they'll
never know
if they don't
see
what they eat
