Dear Angelita:

Dear Angelita:

You make mommy cry with the best tears of all.

Tears of joy will continue to fall.

The news was first heard in late July.

That is simply your "F.Y.I."

Month after month we continued to see...

a cute little angel as cute as can be!

Your soul so pure, your eyes so tender,

We kept wondering, "What's the gender?"

Finally birth the ninth day of May

This will be known as "ANGELITA DAY"

Now we see you today, you learn all the time

Your learning's contagious, mommy's learning to rhyme.

You make mommy so proud, she brags about you

You're turning out great, of course we all knew.

The lights are now dim, it's time to dream sweet

Not sure if it'll happen 'cause you're kicking your feet.

Good night Angelita, my sweet little joy

If you go to sleep now, Mommy will buy you a toy.

Sleep with the bear, he's called Winnie the Pooh,

It's getting late, y'all should go to bed too!

Dreams haiku

Great dreams form at night

The purpose is distraction

Awake now, depressed

"anger" haiku

Daily rage inside

Beer and drugs all make it worse

Murder/ Suicide

"The Drunk" poem

"The Drunk"

by me: Sandra

She was told throughout her years

"Addiction's bad" yelled in her ears.

Almighty girl she thought she was

Up, Down the Street, break all the laws

One crazy night here comes a car

Just as she walks from a bar

Tremblings legs show no support

Trajic life indeed cut short.

’i miss you’ acrostic poem

In the depth within my soul

Missing you, it forms a hole.

I want to hear your voice again.

So i can smile like back then.

Sadly, this won't come about...

Your left me stranded alone in doubt.

Our time has passed to meet once more

Unless you turn back.... open the door!!

Silly Girl

silly girl that cannot rhyme

she sits alone just wasting time

thinking of more words to write

she's not too smart... she'll take all night

she's waiting still for thoughts to come

drinking sprite and chewing gum

"blah, blah, blah" is on her mind

some other interest she needs to find.

she can't come up with just one verse

I'm outta here,.. before she's worse!

storm poem

calm waves roll onto the sand

nice massages, receives the land

in the distance, up ahead...

wicked clouds bring only dread.

bi-polar water now irate.

disaster comes, it will be great.

hours pass, the storm is spent

We won't forget this huge event.
